Tri Fold Funeral Program Templates
Tri Fold funeral programs are useful when you have a lot of information that you want to include in your funeral program. A bi-fold has 4 panels available for information, while a tri-fold program will give you six panels. The tri fold layout uses larger 8 1/2 x 14 (Legal Size) paper, and can easily accommodate the standard elements of the funeral program such as the funeral order of service, the obituary, written eulogies or tributes, funeral poems and photo collages, and acknowledgments.

Funeral Planning Information
Funeral planning can be difficult. Planning a loved one’s funeral or pre-planning your own funeral can be difficult if you do not know or understand your options. Begin this process by answering these 4 important questions.
- What is your funeral budget?
- Will the body be present at the funeral?
- Will you have a religious contemporary funeral or memorial service?
- Who will complete the many administrative tasks (such as making funeral programs, choosing speakers for the service and writing obituaries) associated with funeral planning?
Answering these key questions will put you well on your way to planning the perfect funeral or memorial service that fits into your budget. For more detailed information about funeral planning, see the funeral planning article.

Obituaries in Funeral Programs
Obituaries are often published in funeral programs. They can be a very important part of the funeral program, giving good biographical information about the deceased. The obituary that is published in the program is usually longer than the “death announcement” type obituary that is published in the newspaper. It not only gives basic details of the life, but also gives information about jobs, hobbies and family. A detailed obituary can contain the following elements:
- Birth and Death Date
- Place of Birth and Death
- Cause of Death
- Schools attended/education information
- Military service
- Religious affiliation
- Jobs held – including retirement
- Names and relations of family members, both surviving and pre-deceased,
- Awards/Recognitions received
- Organizations
